Explaining complex medical problems in lay terms is a unique skill of the new section editor, Misha Rosenbach, MD. A JAMA Network team works with the section editor to develop graphics to explain pathophysiologic mechanisms and the evolution of diseases. Our goal is to place lay-oriented, user-friendly health information in the hands of mobile device users; therefore, the reading level for this section is in the range of eighth to ninth grade.
