N2  - Psoriasis Limited to Palms and Soles. Presented by Dr. Anker K. Jensen.K. T., a woman aged 43, has noticed hard "pimples" on the soles and scaling hard patches on the palms. The general physical condition is good. Discrete papular dime-sized lesions with coarse thick scales are present on the soles. The lesions on the palms are less thick and are not well defined. Fissures are present in many of these palmar and plantar lesions. There is no erythema of the lesions. The Wassermann test elicited a negative reaction.DISCUSSIONDr. H. P. Jacobson: I think this is a case of keratoderma climactericum. I did not see any features definitely characteristic of psoriasis. On the other hand, the appearance of the lesions, the age of the patient, the recent history and the associated symptoms are all suggestive of keratoderma climactericum.Dr. Samuel Ayres Jr.: I am
