They also report that saline extracts of normal psoriatic skin failed to cause blast transformation of autologous lymphocytes.We have found similar results in our study of seven psoriatics; we found no marked autologous lymphocyte transformation to saline extracts (several dilutions) of punch biopsy specimens of both normal skin and plaque lesions in six of our seven patients. In the other patient, the saline extract of a plaque lesion induced significant blast transformation of the patient's lymphocytes (double control value), and the saline extract of the patient's normal skin failed to induce blast transformation of autologous lymphocytes.We think that these results support the work of Hopsu-Havu and Helander and
