AB Fluocinonide is a new topically applied corticosteroid that is more potent than presently available agents according to in vivo vasoconstrictor assays. A 0.05% fluocinonide cream was tested against 0.1% betamethasone valerate cream in a double-blind paired comparison in 24 patients with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses and was found to produce superior clinical results in a majority of cases.
