AB Discoid Lupus Erythematosus and Chronic Indolent Nodules and Ulcerations of the Bilateral-Lateral Pelvis. Presented by Ralph Luikart, II, MD. 
    The patient is a 55-year-old white American housewife.Significant Family History.— 
    The patient's sister died of leukemia at the age of 62.Significant Personal History and Development of Current Dermatosis.— 
    Twentytwo years ago this patient developed a plaque on the right side of her upper lip. Subsequent similar plaques later appeared, and a biopsy specimen taken by a previous physician of the right upper lip area was reported to him as chronic discoid lupus erythematosus. Gradually during the last seven years she has developed scattered discoid plaques primarily on the face and vertex of scalp.Beginning six years ago the patient started developing dime-sized, purple tender plaques overlying deep-seated hard nodules on the lateral hips.
