Dermatitis is a complex, chronic condition with a substantial financial burden.1- 3 Patients with dermatitis (also known as eczema) often have comorbid mental health and nutritional issues, including anxiety, depression, and food sensitivities that can lead to malnutrition or even failure to thrive because of overly restrictive diets.4- 5 Health care reform will require new strategies for optimally treating complex patients. Herein, we report our experience in designing and implementing interdisciplinary care6 for dermatitis at the Department of Dermatology, University Hospitals of Cleveland Case Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio.
