A method is described for the treatment of plantar warts with a blunt instrument which allows complete and easy removal of warty tissue with minimal trauma and bleeding.

The cure rate with one treatment was 85%, after follow-up periods averaging ten months (minimum of six months). This is compared with other therapeutic modalities. Other advantages of this method are easy control of bleeding, short duration of pain (average of three days), and absence of tender scar formation.
