ABSTRACT

Meeting Announced.—  The 12th annual Valley of the Sun Dermatologic Symposium, sponsored by the Phoenix Dermatologic Society, will be held March 23 through 27, 1988, at the Stouffers Cottonwoods Resort, Scottsdale, Ariz. The meeting is accredited by the American Academy of Dermatology for 12 hours of continuing medical education. For further information, contact Phoenix Dermatologic Society, c/o Susan L. Award Announced.—  The United Scleroderma Foundation will award five "seed" grants of $10 000 in 1988 for pilot projects of particular promise. Specific projects of young investigators are preferred, though new studies by established researchers will be considered. The proposed research project—its title, nature, and significance—should be described, preferably on one page. If acceptable, the foundation will invite the submission of a formal application.
