Patient.—
White woman, age 20.
Complaint. —
Asymptomatic lesions on hands, wrists, ankles, and feet for entire lifetime.
History and Description.—
The lesions begin as erythematous small papules. As they increase in size the centers develop thick keratotic plugs and an erythematous halo. The lesions increase in size to approximately 0.5 cm. at which time the plugs come out leaving small scars. Occurrence is in crops, each cycle lasting about 2 months. At any given time, there are crops in varying stages of development. New lesions occur in sites of trauma.A brother has a similar eruption on the hands, legs, and feet. His lesions are larger but less numerous.
Laboratory.—
