The lectures were given in great part by the members of the staff on dermatology of the University of Munich—Marchionini, Meinicke, Borelli and Götz, among others. In addition, prominent dermatologists from other centers contributed, including Jadassohn, Miescher, Kimmig, Woringer, and Lever. The subjects covered include the present status of research on eczema, interpretation of skin tests, reagin testing in allergic individuals, eczema in children, newer investigations in neurodermatitis, occupational dermatoses and their prevention, new medicinal and industrial eczematogens, skin reticuloses, disturbance of nail growth and therapy, disturbances of hair growth and therapy, differential diagnosis and therapy of aphthous diseases of the mucous membrane, and others. The subjects are well covered, with an accent on the practical side, including therapy. The book can be recommended to those dermatologists with a reading knowledge of German.
