History.—A 20-year-old woman, who is seven months pregnant, has been developing cutaneous nodules during the past two months. She is of Mexican racial origin, although born and raised in the State of Texas. She has lived in Chicago the past few years, returning to Texas at intervals.
Examination.—The nodules have developed slowly, are about six in number, and located on the arms and legs. The lesions are firm, bluish-red, hazelnut-sized, and with some superficial ecthymatous crusting. The patient has been in general good health during her prenatal examinations, except for a mild anemia.
Laboratory Findings.—Routine x-ray of the chest was interpreted as showing abnormal hilar markings with enlarged
