ABSTRACT

Granuloma Annulare (?). Presented by Dr. Fred Wise.  Miss H. S., aged 20, was first seen at the skin clinic of the Broad Street Hospital, service of Dr. John Harris, in June, 1930. She stated that the lesion on the hand had been present for about three years, during which period she had noticed little change. She said that the condition began as a small elevated "pimple," which gradually developed into the lesion shown. Examination showed two segmented circinate lesions, each approximately 0.5 cm. in diameter. The segment consisted of infiltrated papules, somewhat shiny and waxlike. Twelve roentgen treatments of one-quarter erythema dose each had failed to effect any resolution. The Wassermann reaction was negative. The patient had refused consent to a biopsy.
