Evidence supporting the use of common traditional therapeutic options such as cryotherapy, salicylic acid, cimetidine, and imiquimod is limited. Recent systematic reviews report salicylic acid as the only agent with sufficient evidence to support its use as a treatment for cutaneous (nongenital) warts.1- 3
